Behind the italian label stays the founder Franco Moschino. In his home city Mailand he studied at the academy for art and started working as an illustrator for different fashion magazines. At the famous Gianni Versace he began his carreer as a fashion designer. After that he worked for Cadette as a designer and stylist. 1983 he launched his first own collection with the label „Couture“. After that collections like „Ceap and Chic“, „Moschino Jeans“, fragrances and accessories followed. Rossella Jardini can be seen as his muse and source of inspiration. Franco Moschino knew how to provocate the fashion world in a sympathic way. Because of his humorous creations and the play with fashion he called attention to the abnormalities of the fashion world. After his death in 1994 Rossella Jardini accepted responsibility for the creative management of Moschino.
